Guide

AI dictation on Mac, at your cursor.

Voice to text is only useful if the text lands where you were writing. Attyn dictates into any Mac app: hold a key, speak, release, and finished text arrives at your cursor.

The short answer.

It works in every app

Mail, Slack, Notion, Docs, WhatsApp, code editors, browsers. If the field accepts text, it accepts dictation. There are no integrations to set up.

On-device transcription

Direct dictation transcribes on your Mac with downloadable models, in 39 languages. Your voice does not need to leave the machine for raw dictation.

Formatted, not just transcribed

Formatted dictation shapes what you said for the app you are in: a Slack message reads like a message, an email reads like an email.

One key, no window

Hold the dictation key, talk, let go. No chat tab, no record button, no copy and paste. The text is simply there when you release.

How it works.

Place your cursor

Click where the words should go, in any application.

Hold the key and speak

Talk naturally. Attyn listens for as long as you hold.

Release

The finished text lands at the cursor, raw or formatted for the app.

Questions, answered.

Does Attyn's dictation work offline?

Raw dictation runs on-device with downloadable models, so transcription itself does not require the cloud. Formatted dictation uses your selected intelligence source, which can be a local model, your own provider key, or Attyn Credits.

Which languages does dictation support?

39 languages through on-device engines. You pick a language, not a model; Attyn chooses the right engine for it.

Which apps does it work in?

Any macOS application with a text field. Dictation types at the cursor, so there is nothing to integrate.

What does it cost?

Realtime Dictation is included in the $5 a month rental tier along with Inline Assist, in the $15 tier with all four features, and in the $100 one-time ownership. New accounts start on a five-day free trial.
